I wonder if folk art can be held up against trademark laws?

I mean Andy Warhol made a bundle on that painting of the Campbell's Soup Can.....somehow I think art is exempt but I don't know.

What this list needs is a good lawyer
 
Depends on your definition of art.

When I was building this site I wrote NASCAR an email asking if I could use their logo, they obviously said no. :)

Some people could say a website is art...
 
Then copyright the design Paul, so when some poor man comes along and steals your work you will make millions...
 
Actually Paul.....if this site is non-profit and for your personal use, I don't think you need their permission to use their logo as it comes under the realm of "free use"....I think all ya gotta do is have one of them little circle-r things by it, and maybe a disclaimer at the bottom of the page.
 
Somebody would have to pay me to take that. Even then I would have to think about it.
 
I'll take the slighly used one if you put Gordon back in it! lol.
