1 3/4 C macaroni
1/3 C chopped onion
1T butter
4 T melted butter
3 C shredded sharp cheddar
1 C shredded mozzarella
3 eggs slightly beaten
1 t dry mustard
1 t salt
1/8 t black pepper
1/8 t red pepper(or cayenne)
1/2 C sour cream
1/4 C half and half
3 T white wine

Preheat oven to 350. Cook macaroni and drain. Saute onion in 1 T of butter --- adding mustard, salt and peppers. Set aside
In a larg bowl, combine 2 cups of cheddar, mozzarella, sour cream, half-n-half, and 3 eggs. Add cooked macaroni, onion mixture and wine. Mix well.
Pour in greased casserole. Top with remaining cup of cheddar. Bake 35 minutes.

This is not your ordinary velveta and macaroni
 
that sounds good, thanks TRL..gotta try that out for sure now.......hubby loves mac and cheese..the real stuff........and sure he will like this one..

he is not big on wine, wonder if you can sub bud light...... :lol: :lol: :lol:
JUST KIDDING.......we sometimes cook with vino...... :D :D
