At work, we had a discussion about Infomercials. I thought I'd continue it here.
How many people have bought items they saw on infomercials? Did they work the way they were supposed to? What was your best or worst purchase?
I bought OxyClean when it first came out, from the infomercial. I was not impressed.
 
I bought the two activity books for kids. Most of the stuff in the books worked. How to make stones to place surprises in out of coffee grounds, just an example. I have made many of those for B/D parties. :beerbang: I would buy them again.
 
I don't buy anything from an infomercial. I don't like giving a credit card number to someone I don't know.

If I see something I think I may be interested in, I'll wait a bit and it will show up at Wally World or Bed,Bath,& Beyond.

Do you have a As Seen On TV store near you. We have one in JC and there are several in Serverville, TN. Items usually show up pretty quickly at these stores.

They are starting to pop up in the malls.
 
I even ordered the 5 lb one after I was almost out of the initial order!
It gets out blood stains, yellowed whites wash out clean without bleach, red wine stains, spaghetti stains, grease stains, grass stains and more! AND it's environment friendly as well as non-toxic! Just keep it out of the kid's reach.
OXYCLEAN is GREAT, and IF you follow directions, you can even whiten grout, stains on carpets and more!
STOP ME.......I sound like a commercial, but I really believe in this product!

I liked it for laundry. It didn't work as well as I had hoped on other surfaces (like tile grout).

CVS sells a lot of "as seen on TV" products.
