Guess that about wraps it up for me.

I've enjoyed getting to know most of you on here. The rest...well, you know who you are.

I'm done with NASCAR, so I see no reason to hang around any longer. I plan to send a few PMs out to those of you who I wish to maintain contact with. That may take me a couple of days, but I'll get there eventually. I also gotta purge the puters of all things NASCAR, so I'm gonna be a busy little marsupial for the next few days it seems.

But be that as it may, I just wanted to say that most of you guys are decent folks who have been enjoyable to associate with. I've made my decision to leave both NASCARdom and this forum freely, of my own choice. Translation: all you eggheads who cried around trying to get me booted...better luck next time, shoulda saved your breath. :D

The sport has shown me exactly how much I mean to it, and so I reciprocate with my dollars, TV ratings, and time and attention. It may not matter a hill of beans, but it's mine just the same and I decide where and how to spend it. As the old saying goes, you gotta either stand for something, or you'll fall for anything. I choose to stand for something.

Y'all have a good holiday season, and hope you continue to enjoy all the good things this sport has to offer that it hasn't sold out yet.

While you and I don't agree on a couple of things (Vols being one of them), you and I do agree on more (Go Texas Rangers!). You will be sorely missed by myself and quite a few others. You have a great sense of humor and I truly appreciate you as a 'forum' friend. As TRL said, we will leave the light on just in case you want to drop in on us. I'll keep a cold Rolling Rock in the fridge for you. I do hope that you stay in touch. ((((Hugs)))) to you, my one and only Possum friend, and to Star. Hope you both have a wonderful Holiday season, and that your health only gets better in the days and weeks to come. :wink:

I hate to see ya leave, I have enjoyed talkin' to ya and even pickin' on ya from time to time. :) (I still would push a Chevy then drive a Ford :p) But dude, im goin to miss ya. Hope your health gets better and good luck in life man! As the Eagles say "Take it easy!"

It takes a tough man......

to walk away from something he has had such an interest in for such a long time.

Since you choose to leave the forum, the only thing left for me to do is offer my thoughts.

We didn't always agree, but for sure if there were a list drawn of things where I disagree, it would be substantially shorter than you might think. It will be not be the same here on Racing Forums without you and I know there will be topics wherein your absence and thoughts will be greatly missed.

Engaging you in debate has been, on some occasions, the highlight of my day, and on others, frustrating. But that is what made the thing fun for me. You have been a worthy adversary, good debater, knowledgeable, and crusty. Not necessarily in that order. :)

I have enjoyed your repartee, insight and know the affection you have/had for this sport. It cannot be easy to walk away and if it is your choice to do so, the only thing I can do is wish you well on whatever road you may travel. :cheers:

Perhaps we might meet again, on another forum or in another place and no matter the name be EatMorePossum and Whizzer, I'm sure we will know each other. Good luck, my friend, and may God Bless.
