I started to see some strange behavior on the site yesterday.
Nothing infected my Mac but the code I was seeing troubled me. Lisa
and I reported to our host Voxtreme and they are working on it.

The hacker appears to be from Russia but we don't know who yet.
Probably never will but Voxtreme can get it fixed I'm sure.

I'll keep you up to date when I hear from Voxtreme. You can inform
others who might be interested if you like.
 
Prof, do you get a message that "YOU ARE INFECTED WITH A TROJAN HORSE"?
I've refreshed, scanned, and even contacted my Anti-Virus people (Norton 2006) which updates automaticly, and Norton said it sure wasn't my 'puter.

5 to 1 says it's spyware. Norton antivirus doesn't pick them up. DL Ewido and Trendmicro spy checkers and run them. I'm pretty sure I know what's got you. Do you see any new icons in the toolbar next to your clock?
 
just throw my 2 cens in, I use AVG, but I have ewido, "CLEANUP!", spybot, Lavasoft Ad-aware, and hijack this on backup duties if needed.
 
Don't use Norton, they are garbage, i stopped using Norton 4 years ago. I use AVG, by Grisoft, half the price for 2 years, and much better at doing the job Norton and Mcaffee should do.
 
To all of you who have wondered what was going on with Racebuds, we were hacked
a week or so ago and that hack is spreading a computer virus to most anyone who
visits us. Therefore, I have decided to take Racebuds offline until this issue
can be resolved.

I apologize to anyone who might have been adversely affected by this issue. We
hope to be up and running again sometime soon.

I'd wondered. It hadn't affected me, since I'm not running IE for my general browsing at the office. You might be interested in contacting Catocom. He's been repeatedly hit recently too, due to a security failing at his provider (to the point that he's changed providers). Comparing notes might yield some common clues.

Kat, got a note from Lisa and she told me all about the problems. Said she'd be glad if I returned and I said that I might. Been a long time since I've been over there.

I know there was a problem there (with one member), I think, but I would love to see you back there when Lisa and Alaska (Bill) get things set back right! DrafterT too!
