Does Allgaier give Dillon something to actually cry about today?

The Penske cars qualified well so already have a leg up on RCR & JGR.

Hopefully Penske gave Hornish the best equipment for once. I think he has to win the race to take the title

He's 8 points back.

If Dillon wins the title without winning a race in 2013, I think it'll be the first time that has ever happened in any the top 3 series.

Clinch scenarios at Homestead: #3-Austin Dillon, who has an eight-point lead over second-place #12-Sam Hornish Jr., will clinch the NASCAR Nationwide Series driver championship with a finish of third or better; or fourth or better with at least one lap led; or fifth or better with most laps led in the Ford EcoBoost 300 at HMS, regardless of any other drivers finish.
In the owners championship battle, the #22 Penske Racing Ford leads the #54 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota by four points. The #22 can only guarantee a clinch of the owners title with a victory at HMS.(NASCAR)(11-10-2013)

Going to be on ESPN, pre race @ 4 EST. and the race @ 4:30. It should happen on time they just have a football scoreboard ahead of it ,can't see that running long.

So who are you pulling for in the NW series championship?

Nothing against cowboy hat guy, but I'd like to see Hornish win the series title.

Good luck Sam

I'm indifferent as I like both drivers but I'll get off the fence and pick Hornish.

I believe Hornish is going to shoot himself in the foot today, and Dillon is going to pick up the pieces. It usually comes down to mistakes and Austin has showed me he don't make many.

Damn, spoke too soon, my TV guide said it was going to be football scoreboard...even though there are 5 minutes on the clock and one team is 12 points ahead, I won't be surprised if they get into Nascar time in the 22 minutes before the pre race.

He does tend to keep his head and let the race come to him. Hornish, on the other hand, has been known to get rattled and start over driving the car and his ability.

Yeah I have seen him too many times over driving a loose car. Last couple of races he has been better about it. At any rate, it should be a good race, I don't really have a dog in the hunt, I think a cupper is going to win probably, but the actual N'wide race should be good. they have the Manufacturers thing and the championship going on at the same time.

I'd like to see the Cup guys have nothing to do with the outcome of this championship, same as NNS drivers in Cup.

So Childress could actually win 2 different championships this weekend...here, hold my watch ;)

How many do you think he "will" win?

Here we go with the long, drawn out national anthem.. Plz sing the song and stop trying to be a star....

I love the thread title. It will be impossible to be considered OTP in this one.

Thanks 17D!

I bet Hornish's teammates will cost him the championship. They've already stolen a ton of points from him this year.

This.

I understand Brad and Joey want to win, but at the same time, this is Hornish's opprotunity. He looks loose as hell, his tires are going to be shot afterwards. Hornish needs to manage his tires... I hope he wins though.

as long as Bush, the biggest points stealer of all time, stays back a ways, it looks like they will let Sam have the lead.

That's kind of what I figured would happen. Granted, that would be a violation of the all important 100% rule.
