First I heard of Ford pulling back:

"It was a sad day when Dodge and then Ford announced their decision to pull out of the Craftsman Truck Series in 2009. While Dodge is out entirely, Ford remains committed to supplying at least technical support and engineering, just no financial support."

Pulling financial support with be a slow agonizing death for most of the Ford teams. IMHO of course.

These teams arn't hurting for money. They just don't want to spend it on the team. They would rather buy their houses on the lakes and all the toys that go with it. Mabey teams will even out more by doing this. I dunno ....just a thought.

Truck sales are really slow and I'm not sure their involvement in CTS is really a plus. Just because Ron Hornaday wins doesn't mean perspective truck buyers are going to run out and get a Chevy for that reason.
