I'm with you for a change Andy. With the limited information we have here it seems like he did what he felt he had to do to protect the safety of a tipster who was promised anonymity. I also feel that he should probably serve the two weeks in jail and pay the $500 fine if that is what the law requires. The judge should also have to show why she was violating the agreement to protect the person's identity.
