Former Motocrosser/Supercroser Jim Pomeroy dies

Don't know how many motocrossers or supercrossersare members here but motocross racing lost a great guy in Jim Pomeroy. He started riding Bultacos but I remember seeing him ride Honda Elsinores at Texas Stadium in the 70's when supercross first came to Texas.
 
That's very sad.
I remember watching him at the track early in my career.
He won a moto at the USGP in 1977 at Carlsbad (wow, what a rough track, raced there myself). He was one of the early great american motocrossers.
