Maybe since DEI has the adoption papers for Steve,They should send him to ASA.No disrespect to Steve,But if he still wants to race he needs to back up a few notches.Good luck Steve I wish you well. :)

Hell let Shawna for that matter,Steve is flirting with disaster.I relly hate to see that,He is such a nice person,And that is what counts the most in our short time on earth.

I think she means me 66.Kat I like Steve,But if it were your $$$$$$$$ on the line what would you do?Let alone Steve's life could be at stake he he continues to have the same luck.

I'm just curious......and this isn't to start anything.......but what would it take for Steve to prove/show you all that he's fine and shouldn't be questioned or worried about?......I am a fan, but i am still undecided on if its really him or if its the team or the changes since his return with tires and aero stuff....so I am curious what everyone thinks would disprove its him cause of the injury...:)

Not crash so much. I know alot of times it isn't his fault but still I don't know what it will take.

To be totally honest I like Steve,But all of his mental funtions do not seem intact.Maybe for the normal funtions in life,But not for driving a race car.I said last week that Steve should put his family,And loved ones in front of racing at this time.:)

Now Paul,That is Prolly true,But don't forget he does have some sensitive fans right now.:)

ok...so if he didn't wreck again all year( not even ones that aren't his fault) that would show he was ok to race?..but what he only raced for say 20th but never wrecked.....or what if he won half the races left and wrecked the other half of them?????..another thing that i ponder...is he spinnin cause hhis ability isn't as high as before or is he tryin too hard to prove the naysayers wrong (or both)....alot of drivers have spun out this year with out help from another driver, so steve isn't alone there, or by getting caught up in wrecks, everyone has been........personally I think...Steve and the #1 team need some consistant top 20 runs or top 15's.....but i guess only time will tell if he(they) ever get back to where they were.....

nothin paticular.......after readin here for a bit now, it seems everyone has strong opinions on things ( which is good)...just thought i toss this out there and see what folks had to say.....:D

Not many of us hold back, but it's all good natured. :)

Anyway...Steve got into a wreck. Now he slurs his speech and talks very slowly, so of course people are going to wonder what's going on upstairs.

So he comes back from his rehab and wrecks the first race...that was chalked up to being ripped to go. Then he wrecked again, then again, then again and has wrecked in nearly every single race since his return.

How long is a driver allowed to run before people can start to speculate about his ability to run safely?

Hey Hooty,You ain't the guy with the blowfish are you?Welcome to the forum. You have passed the I won't act like an idiot test. :P Welcome my Forum friend.

boy..i can think of a handful of drivers I could ask that question to/about.......LOL..

LOL pbunch.....no..no blowfish around me....I've been Hooty long before that other Hootie came along....he tried spelling it the same, but my copy right infringement suit solved that!!...now if they could just have another big seller i could retire from my settlement check!!!..which I was told is "in the mail".....LOL....thanks for the welcome pbunch

Hooty did you Know there was a band called Hooty, and the blowfish?Thats where I was comming from?:)Sorry Hooty,I was slow on the trigger.

yes..i know.....thats why I spelled mine different than his..( hooty and hootie)..........in fact..i think i still have ones of their tapes floatin around in my car...lol

hmmm paul......brett bodine, jeremy mayfield, jerry nadeau, joe nemecheck, kenny schrader just to name a few....and i'm not questioning their ability either......they just seem to be in the benders week in and week out.....oh and ofcourse the part timers that get in here and there.....they always seem to hit someone or something( except at the glen..that joens guy drove a helluva a race for AJ)..:)

Are those guys making comebacks from massive head and brain injuries?

Do you really think people are questioning Park's ability based only on his finishing positions?

no..i think they are more swayed by his speech first and now the performance on the track......but you asked how long someone should drive before bein questioned on safety side of it...so i answered with guys that seem to be invloved in most of the wrecks each week....

I look at it this way,Put your self in the seat of another driver, pick one.You are comming upon Steve,Are you gunshy,or do you race him like someone who has not been involved in a wreck every week since he came back from a major head injury? He is not all there enough to make the split second decisions that a clearer mind can make.:) That is only my opinion,And I hope he doesn't kill himself trying to prove a point to himself with no regards to the rest of the drivers.

But we were talking about Steve Park and his ability to run after suffering brain injuries.

We can start a thread about drivers that don't finish well based on skill alone, as that's an entirely different topic. :)

I'm missing your overall point though, are you saying that people shouldn't be questioning Park's ability to run? That no proof has been shown that he might not have what it takes anymore?

i guess my point is, there is no real way to judge or prove if he is still capable.....so i asked what people thought would be a good proving block to stop questioning his ability due to that wreck......and like i said earlier..i'm undecided on what i think is the problem with steve and/or the #1 team.............anyways..I gotta head off to work so....have a good nite all and cya around in the mornin.....:D

I think he needs to go to a lower series. Wait there until he is fully recovored and then head back to Cup. I know I wouldn't want to be around him if I were on the track.

I wonder how good Craven would have been if he had started in a lower series after his crash.
