Hurricane Katrina, arguably the worst natural disaster in the United States this century, made landfall in Slidell, LA and Biloxi, MS as a Category Four hurricane. 4,081 people were killed as a direct result of the storm or health problems linked to the storm. Katrina was a disaster of two types, natural and man-made.

Tony Zumbado won an Emmy after recording some breathtaking images of the desperation after the storm. Here is his entire report, as it aired live on MSNBC's non-stop hurricane coverage.
