Hmmm...why is he being fired but still calling Martinsville and Texas? Things could get kinda awkward up in the booth. I'm awfully curious about all of this.

Wow, they replace a Cup Champion with a guy that has 8 wins in a 30 year career.
Giant step backwards. Apparently Derricke Cope was unavailable.

I would like if KP, Wally and Bestwick did every race.

Wally's my favorite. May not have the world's greatest driving record but he's the best driver analyst in the business. I think you might get your wish though -- I really think NBC's going to make the move to get NASCAR on NBC Sports Network.

You know.. I believed this until I googled it and came back hours later to ask for a link and saw people saying April fools things.. :owquitit:

You may be right. Right now, NASCAR claims to be okay with the switch from Speed to Fox Sports 1, and Fox has even talked about moving some of network Fox's Cup races to FS1, but I have a feeling if there's hurt feelings over that whole thing, NBC Sports Net could end up with NASCAR races.

At the very least, I think we'll see Truck/Nationwide races on NBC Sports Net.

Truck Series remains on FOX Sports 1 - that's a long term deal. I think we'll see Nationwide on NBC Sports Network and the FOX and NBC stations split the Cup schedule. I think FOX would rather split Cup with NBC than ESPN. I do not think FOX Sports 1, NBCSN and CBS Sports Network are going to go to war with each other - if they do, they'll all implode and ESPN's empire will grow. I think those three networks are going to work somewhat together to tear apart the ESPN empire little by little.

In a few years it will be Kenny Wallace, Rutledge Wood, and Mikey with pit reporting from Jon Reep.

I figured this was a joke..but even if it were true it would be no improvement for me...Kyle Petty annoys me...

But DW has actually done what he talks about, whereas Kyle has only heard about it ;)

Don't be so hard on Kyle Petty. He had a nice little career. Unfortunately for him, the last 15 years were absolutely terrible.

This must be a joke! We would all miss hearing Boogity boogity etc. etc. as the green drops.
