Legendary science fiction and fantasy artist Frank Frazetta has died at the age of 82. He passed away after having a stroke shortly after Mother's Day dinner.
During the course of his life he painted many original and famous characters like Death Dealer and Conan. He has done paintings for books, comic books, magazines, movie posters, and heavy metal album covers. Today, this influance can still be seen in movies and video games which draw upon his art for inspiration.
But more than anything he is perhaps best known for this piece titled "Death Dealer" which hangs on the bedroom wall behind me as I type this.
