From jayski.com, reported on EPSN:
Danica considering full time NASCAR in 2012: Danica Patrick and her management team are working on a plan that would bring her full-time to NASCAR in 2012, sources said Tuesday. Patrick hopes to finalize a deal soon that would have her race full-time in the NASCAR Nationwide Series next season. She would also race a few Sprint Cup events in 2012 before going full-time to Cup in 2013. The plan includes Patrick continuing to compete in the Indianapolis 500 next year. Which team she will race for and how the details will work out are still being finalized, sources said. GoDaddy.com, which sponsors her Indy car and the car she drives in the Nationwide Series, is expected to stay with her if she moves to NASCAR full-time. Her contracts with Andretti Autosport in the IndyCar Series and JR Motorsports in the Nationwide Series end after this year. Patrick said last week at Indianapolis that she hasn't made any decisions about her future.

Well she needs to choose one or the other. Going back and fourth isn't helping her on either side.

Well I guess the rumor that has been floating around the pits is true.:)

agree her future is in nascar and going full-time in nationwide is the best way to do it. i wish her luck. :)

Wonder if her almost not making the Indy 500 had something to do with this?

Failing the tech inspection put the team in a bad spot. Her and Marco just made it in....It also helps that your car sponser is also a MAJOR sponser of this years race......I don't think the GEORGE family wants to P.O. their major sponser:cool:

I wonder how much of the Dale Jr./Hendricks contract negotiations plays into her decision, if at all.
Everyone, including myself, is assuming Dale will sign on the dotted line and HMS will welcome him with open arms.

i can't see where jr.'s signing would matter one way or another. what seems to matter more to me is who is able to help provide (or at least not hinder) her an indy ride with the least amount of hassle. she's still got that indy bug and it can be a bi*** to get rid of. <g>

If Hendricks doesn't sign Jr., a ride would open up, and Hendricks already has the Go Daddy sponsor on Mark Martin's car, who will be replaced by Kasey Khane. I don't see Go Daddy on the side of KK's car for 2012.

That's where I was going with that. But, again, I have no reason to believe Jr. will leave HMS.

So who is this Hendricks you speak of? :D

Danica Patrick on Wednesday said there was "no truth" to an ESPN report that her and her management team were working on plans for a fulltime NASCAR schedule in 2012. SI.com's Bruce Martin, in a previously-scheduled interview with Patrick on Wednesday in Indianapolis, asked her for her reaction to the report. Here was Patrick's complete response: "I'm watching TV and see it scroll across the bottom of the screen. I don't know where it came from but it's all speculation. Anybody can speculate that and write that. I don't know where it came from but there is no truth to it; it's just speculation," she said. "It's no different than it was last month or even last year. There is nothing new in it."(Charlotte Observer)

Tony Stewart says he'd be interested in signing Danica Patrick if she moves to NASCAR's top series. Stewart is the owner of Stewart-Haas Racing, and is always looking for opportunties to grow the team from two to four cars. He's given Patrick advice during her trial period in NASCAR, and moving full-time from IndyCar is a possibility when her contract ends later this year but he has no plans to field a Nationwide team.

It would make sense. There is no room at Hendrick's unless Jeff retires. So it would make perfect sense to send her to a satelite team at Tony's.

this would be a bad move for danica. she's not ready for sprint cup. get a nationwide ride, more experience with the tracks and cars, then make the move to cup in 2013...if she feels she's ready.

From jayski

Bob Parsons, CEO and founder of Danica Patrick sponsor GoDaddy.com, said Sunday he expects her to make the move full-time to NASCAR next season. "She hasn't told me she will, but I believe she will and we'll be ready," Parsons said. "Here's the fact: She loves [NASCAR], it's much more exciting than IndyCar, with all due respect, and the TV audience for NASCAR is off the hook." Parsons was at Indianapolis Motor Speedway Sunday to watch Patrick compete in the event. Patrick is working on a plan to race full-time in the Nationwide Series is 2012 and move to Sprint Cup in 2013, sources confirmed earlier this week. "She came up to me right after she did her first NASCAR race [the 2010 Nationwide race at Daytona]," Parson said. "She said to me, 'I absolutely loved it. This is what I was born to do.' " Parsons emphasized he is behind her whatever decision she makes. "As long as I can stroke the check," he said. "I tell you what, she doesn't exactly work for minimum wage. I usually don't get into that too much until the decision's been made. But I've told her I would sponsor her if she started ice skating." Along with Patrick's IndyCar ride at Andretti Autosport and her Nationwide car at JR Motorsports, GoDaddy also sponsors Mark Martin's Cup car at Hendrick Motorsports. Martin is leaving after this season and Kasey Kahne is taking over in that car. Will GoDaddy sponsor Kahne in 2012? "We're working on that," Parsons said. "I can tell you Mr. [Rick] Hendrick runs an awfully good team and he's been a great business partner for us.

I agree with the last poster. She is a racer and if she thinks she can compete in NA__AR, more power to her.

The ONLY thing I have against such a move isn't about Danica, it's about the #!@*! media and the circus they'll make out of her running full time.
On the flip side of that concern, at least the media will have something else to hype, other than trying to start rivalries that aren't there and feuds which are about as serious as two kids on a playground arguing over the rules of Red Rover.

Hope Danica starts showing her Hotness more, before it's too late!!

something I thought about:

If danica comes to cup, what will her number be? 07? 77? Pay off Robby for the 7?

This potential scenario would make a good thread.
I hope she gets the 7 if and when she decides to come to NASCAR. Not sure if Robby would be willing to part with it, though. But money talks ....

She'll bring a sponsor with her that has really deep pockets. If she decides to go full time she'll get a top notch ride.

Remember this is na$car, it's all about the $$$. Racing is secondary.:beerbang:

Danica going fulltime has been known for awhile, just not released. She will be going full-time next year unfortunately, I prefer her in Indycar..

But nonetheless, Andretti Autosport in Indycar will be down to 2 drivers next year.. Marco Andretti & Ryan Hunter-Reay.

wow, now that's a comedown for andretti autosport. even if they find sponsorship for additional cars?

Robby may be ready to give up the NASCAR thing. He is out of his car again this week.Sauter is in it.

Robby likes Nascars Big Money..Bet he runs the Roadcourses & Plate Tracks...

I like the guy, but you just can't be an owner driver anymore. Unless you're Tony, then you're not technically an owner/driver, you're a cover for a rule bending manipulation.

Robby is little more than a start and park, these days.

Robbys 2nd at Sonoma last year, was his best lately.. $$$$ Baja 500 this weekend. SPEED Energy Drink at Walmart in Mexico...& GNC in the U.S. Amazing in a short time.. Entreprenuer!!:D
