I just saw on-line that there was a rumor that Emma Watson, of Harry Potter fame, had agreed to star in the movie adaptaion of 50 Shades Of Gray. I can;t tell you the last time a rumor like this made me actually laugh out loud, but this one did.
I've never read the book, but from what I've heard about it, it sounds like a good way to kill a career for at least a few years. Now, I'm not saying I might not enjoy seeing certain women, like Daniela Ruah, in a movie like this, but I just can't see a remotely well known actress doing it. Then again, you never know. Many of you may be shocked to learn that John Denver was actually offered the starring role in American Gigolo (sp?). He thought it would ruin the image he had, so he said no. It turned out to be a pretty good move for Richard Gere. And for the movie's makers as I would imagine. I love John Denver's music (alright, just keep the snickers to yourself), but that just doesn't seem like something he could pull off very well. Then again, I think Richard Gere is one of the ugliest people I've ever seen on the big screen. So, what do I know?
