New York-Georgia-Pacific, maker of Brawny paper towels and other brands, has signed a multi-year deal with Nascar champ Jeff Gordon.
As part of the agreement, GP's Sparkle paper towel brand's logo will be featured on Gordon's No. 24 DuPont Chevrolet as well as Gordon's uniform and driving gloves. The relationship includes involving Gordon in ads and promotions for GP products.
"GP has been involved with motorsports for a long time, but nothing compares to our new relationship with Gordon," said A.D. "Pete" Correll, chairman/CEO of GP in Atlanta, in a written statement.
GP already sponsors some Nascar events including the Nextel Cup Series and the Craftsman Truck Series. Championship Group, Atlanta, brokered the deal.
