Ok, what's going on? Oil prices have dropped 12-14 bucks the past couple of weeks. Demand from China and India is still there. Haven't heard of any refinerys closing for maintenance or the switch over to the so called summer blend. But did have a fire in one in Texas. In the big picture the oil leak in the Gulf doesn't amount to much world wide. So far the oil spill is equal to what Texans pump in 2 minutes. This weekend is traditionally the start of the summer driving season and with it comes price increases.
Two weeks ago $2.94, yesterday $2.69 and today in our morning drive/run Brody saw $2.68. Brody does love his vanilla soft serve,,

I've noticed the same thing. It's dropped around .20 around here in the last month, just the opposite of what I thought would happen after the oil spill.

My guess is they don't feel like playing with the little people right now.

The explanation the news gave the other night is the economy is the reason gas prices are falling.

We filled up in Winston Salem at $2.49. Here at Atlantic Beach the cheapest is $2.63, but the average is more like $2.70.
