No I dont have the poots.

Is it me or does it seem gas and pit strategy are getting involved in more and more races. I think its sad when top contenders loose a race because of gas, just not racing to me. I thought this was racing not endurance testing.

ROTFLMAO!!! :XXROFL:

In answer to your question, yes I feel that these races have come down to fuel mileage and pit strategy more that anything. And, I have to agree, it sux!!!

Yeah it is no longer about who is a better driver or who has the better team, it's about pit strategy and fuel, even tires don't seem to be as important anymore. I just want good racin'.

Did any of you catch what Jimmy Spenser said during Busch qualifying on Speed Friday afternoon?

He was talking about this type of racing and came right out and said it was "bull****".

I had a goood laugh but I wonder if NASCAR will fine him for that one? :D

Anyway.... he is right! It's no fun....... and is leading to more boredom.

Don't expect too much excitment from today's race.

Missed that one Guido, leave it to Spencer to call it like it is. It is about as boring as having the same Points leader the whole season...

I agree the gas milage races are boring! I want to see side by side racing, not watching all the drivers conserve fule and not racing. This is one reason why the IRL races are much better, they don't have nearly as many fule races as NASCAR does! Get the soft tires back then racing will be better!

Well, Guido, so far the race hasn't exactly been boring, but it will definitely come down to a fuel strategy race.
:(

Maybe we should go with Tony Stewarts Idea and make it the Solar Powered Winston Cup !

I like the fuel strategy races. It makes the races much more exciting and less predictable.

As far as Michigan coming down to a fuel mileage race, Im not surprised because it has always come down to a fuel mileage race, so I see no reason for anyone to complain.

Great race.

Top 10 for all of RCR.

6th place for Robby Gordon! Things are looking very good. :D

Fuel Mileage racing, is drama; gets the heart pounding a bit but most fans will want a race to the finish and not a race decided by the engine builders and how far the fuel can go. I'm not gonna say much, but there are teams that have an advantage over most on the fuel and those teams are the teams that will most likely win every week like Penske or Richard Childress.

Thank god we're going to Bristol, a track where fuel mileage isnt a concern, it's a concern over how much the car fenders can take

Until they bring back the softer tires we will see this kind of racing.

Gas milege racing unpredicatable hah thats funny when they tell you whos gonna make it and who isnt, thats not fun for me. Also in these gas races theres usually big gaps in the field I want some fighting for first Im sick of these 2-4 second distances from first to second. All you can hope for is someone to have mechanicle problems or be wrong about there calculations or the race is over with before the checkered comes down.

U've got that right, short track racing, especially at night,at Bristol will be most exciting with the beating & banging,no fuel mileage race crap, outbrakeing the other Guy to gain position when coming out of the corner, yeah, that's racing IMO.NASCAR needs more short tracks & road courses IMO.Dump the plates & a lot of the cookie-cutter tracks & We'd have more exciting races IMO ;)

I almost dozed off on the Michigan race,it didn't help that JG had problems early on,but the way the race unfolded into the usual fuel-milage race is just boring anyway IMO. :p

I agree, the harder tire compounds is taking the driver pretty much out of the race. But to return to a softer tire compound,NASCAR would have to first take away a lot of the current downforce numbers, right?I think Rusty Wallace has been the most vocal driver about returning to softer tires, perhaps NASCAR will listen, but I have My doubts,as a softer compound tire would help out the veterans more as They're more accustomed to saving equipment & tires than the "young guns".JMO

The main reason Goodyear and Nascar went to the harder tire compound was to save the team owners money, because they dont have to do 4 tire stops each and every time. Remember, these tires cost a lot of money, so based on this I dont see the soft tire compound returning.

It's like anything else, once in awhile it's fun and interesting, but when it's every week, it gets kind of boring.

Yesterday's race was, however, much more interesting than I thought it was going to be, so I won't complain.
