I read on jayski that they've officialy put Kvapil in the 77...as I've mentioned in earlier threads, while I'm a fan of Kvapil, I'm a bigger fan of Gaughan. I'm disappointed mostly because 2004 was supposed to be a rebuilding year for the 77 team. The idea was that Gaughan would get experience in the cars and on the tracks while the teams merged and started making newer (better) equipment for the 77. Apparently, they didn't bother to hold their word. Instead, they gave Kvapil the goods in the 06 and shoved Brendan out the door. I hope Brendan goes back to the truck series with Steve Park as a teammate and gets the title he deserved back in 2003. At the same time, I wish Kvapil the best in the 77, I know he is an excellent driver and now that the 77 team has some good equipment, I'm sure he'll do well...at least Kyle will have some real competition for ROTY, maybe it'll heat up the battle this year.

just like everham did to casey, the pressure to preform in cup must be unreal, just glad that jeff gordon wasn't a rookie this year he would have been handed his walking papers after his rookie year preformance.

Yeah I think that's a pretty raw deal, but do wish Travis lots of luck. ax, you're a lot more optimistic about that #77 team than I am.

JMO, but I don't think Brendan was really given a chance to prove himself.
I like Travis, but this move may be too much, too soon.

Brendan got shafted! While I like Travis, this move just adds one more thing to my long list of reasons that I dislike Roger Penske. How do you expect a driver to excell when you don't provide him with the equipment to do so. Brendan has the ability to succeed and with the appropriate support and equipment, he will. Good luck, Brendan! Good luck to Travis, too. He's gonna need it!
