#62-Brendan Gaughan, who leads #1-Ted Musgave by 26 points with only Friday's Ford 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway (3:15pm/et, Speed Chennel) remaining, lost an engine early Thursday and will have to start the race from the rear of the field, despite qualifying 13th fastest. Four drivers remain in the hunt for the title. Besides Gaughan and Musgrave, #16-Travis Kvapil (34 points behind Gaughan) and #46-Dennis Setzer (39 back) also have a shot to win the championship in Friday's finale. Of the four, Kvapil got the biggest boost to his title hopes in qualifying, claiming the fourth starting position. Musgrave was 10th fastest and Setzer, 11th.
