Anyone else heard thias rumor floating around. If so maybe we will see WARD and Jeff on the same team. Getting interesting. :bounce:

Yeah, I heard that rumor from a few people and read it on a few sites. Silly season is starting to get hot! lol.

Bliss and rookie Brendan Gaughan are being considered for the Haas CNC Racing No. 0 Chevrolet in 2005. Team owner Gene Haas says he wants to see how current driver Ward Burton performs with crew chief Bootie Barker before he makes a final decision. "We've given Ward three different crew chiefs; now it's up to him," Haas says. (Fox Sports - Lee Spencer)

Gaughan Speaks: Brendan Gaughan says he “doesn’t really care anymore” about behind-the-scenes maneuvering at Penske-Jasper Motorsports, and is concentrating on the next three races. Asked about Penske Racing’s decision to field a fourth car at Martinsville and Atlanta for former Truck Series champion Travis Kvapil, Gaughan told MRN Radio/Sirius Speedway's Dave Moody that the situation is frustrating. “Stuff we’ve been asking for all season and not getting, all of a sudden they’ve got it,” he said. “I can’t do anything about it, and I really don’t care anymore. All I can do is take what they give me and do my best with it, and the last couple of weeks, it’s been pretty good.” Gaughan declined to comment on rumors that he has spoken with Haas CNC Racing about replacing Ward Burton next season, saying, “If other people are looking at me and liking what they see, I’m flattered. But right now, I’m focused on the last three races of the season. After that, we’ll worry about what comes next.”(MRN Radio/Sirius Speedway)(

I don't blame Gaughan for not caring, Penske seems to be giving him a giant pile of crap to work with...then out of nowhere they have the goods for Kvapil? Get serious. If Kvapil makes what I'll call the "Sprague" jump, he'll experience the same thing Brendan has found. I'd like to see Brendan end up with RGM next season at the Busch level.

I agree. I hope Brendan lands a good ride in 2005, and proves to everyone whats he's actually made of. A very talent driver, and an absolute great for the sport!
