With the ever changing political climate here at home and the war abroad, those two things could shape the outcome of the President election in 2004. With none of the democratic candidates seemingly on good footing with the issues, most people are looking to one man to possibly head the Democratic spearhead on the White House, that man is former U.S Army 4-star General Wesley Clark. Many believe he may stand a chance against the political juggernaut of President Bush, however with Clark's experience in dealing with issues both foreign and domestic and may be a good choice for the Democratic party because of his progressive stance on most domestic issues.

Well, there are many groups all over the country that are trying to "draft" Wesley Clark for the Presidency just like Dwight D. Eisenhower was in the 1950s, and of course Eisenhower did win the Presidency and took charge for two terms. Wesley Clark served in the United States Army for over 34 years, fought in Vietnam and held numerous staff and command positions; he also served as Supreme Allied Commander of NATO; all this is enough for me to put down my vote. Clark is a 1966 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point where he ranked first in his class. He holds a Master’s Degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University where he was a Rhodes Scholar. Clark is a recipient of numerous U.S. and foreign military awards, including the Silver Star, two Bronze Stars, and a Purple Heart, dating back to his experience fighting in Vietnam. He has received honorary Knighthoods from the British and Dutch governments and was made a commander of the French Legion of Honor. In 2000, Clark was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor.

Those statistics alone are very distinguished. In a new poll out from Reuters, 49% said they would vote for General Clark and only 40% said they would vote for President Bush; though based on biographical information collected about the two. However, some may be a bit skeptical about General Clark's progressive stance on most issues like abortion, affirmative action and the economy even though he defines himself as a Centrist on most issues thus making himself the ideal candidate for President. If he cannot run for President for some reason then he may be chosen as a Vice Presidential running mate for Democratic Front Runner Governor Howard Dean.

He may not have the vast money-raising tactics of President Bush who seems unbeatable; but at the least, he'll make this President Election Campaign seem interesting

I vote dem more than repub and the way things are going right now dems is the way I want to go. Clark might be a shinning light for the dems. You don't say what he has in mind for the country. Right now there don't seem to be anything the repubs want to do to help. Damn tax cut sure didn't impress me .

and with the latest economical results, I'm not surprised that many are now turning against Bush on all the issues.

well im a republican but ill prolly end up voting for john kerry if he runs...
