Kyle Busch wins SpeedFest Late Model race: Kyle Busch had to hold off some of the top short track talent in the country to do it, but Sunday afternoon he scored his career third SpeedFest Super Late Model victory at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, GA. He had to keep a hard charging Bubba Pollard at bay to record the win. Busch previously scored wins in the event in 2009 and 2010, when it was held at Lanier National Speedway in Braselton, Georgia.(Raceweek Illustrated) Also in the top 10: David Ragan finished 3rd, Chase Elliott finished 6th, Ross Kenseth finished 19th.(1-30-2012)

Imagine that, the guy who spent the most money won the race.

This is why asphalt super late model racing sucks.

Andy guess what. It's almost always, in any form of racing, the guy that spends the most money wins. Very seldom does it happen the other way around.

It happens quite a bit in late model and dirt racing, at least much more so than in super late model racing...... especially CRA.

No, it really doesn't. Big bucks always wins. Especially when you're talking about the top divisions. There are a few rues packages around the country that do a fairly good job of keeping it in check, but very few.

Q: How do you make a small fortune in auto racing?
A: Start with a large one.

It's truth, and it's common, whether you want to admit it or not.

Please:rolleyes: I've been to tons of races where an underdog driver pulled out an upset.

Asphalt SLM racing sucks. If you're lucky, there will be four cars running at the end of them.

The sad part is Kyle brings cars a trained chimpanzee could win to these SLM races and he still had to dump Johanna Long to win the Snowball a few years ago.

Sure it happens, but like I said, it's very uncommon. Regardless of how right you think you are, it's very seldom that the underdog pulls off the upset. That's why it's called an upset. And please:rolleyes:, you're not the all knowing expert you think you are.

There were six different winners at Manassas last year, and one team spending far more than everyone else. So yeah, I wouldn't say it's rare.

Congrats KYLE:headbang:

Congrats for entering a low series for a guy with that much money?

Come to think of it. Kyle is the only guy who is desperate to win all the time everywhere. I wonder if this desperation is going to help him never win a Cup title?

he's not desperate...He LOVES to race and loves to win....Funny how no one complained when Ken Schrader raced ANYTHING with 4 wheels and a motor...Actually everyone thought it was great:mad:

kenny doesn't go out and win all the time in the top series. And besides everybody likes Kenny.

I see, so if you suck in the top series you can race anywhere you want, and if people "like" you, then you can race anywhere you want...Got it:bleh:

And I think Kyle is desperate. When he doesn't win, he acts like his whole world just fell down. Remember the all star race, when him and Denny were "racing", until Kyle ran out of room and smaked himself right into the wall? Then he says over the radio "I had that race won!" Then he parks it right in front of the 11 hauler. This crap happens all the time to Kyle, every year he does the same dumb ****, and fails in the fall.

Maybe Kyle will step back, take a look at his life, and decide that the guys who win titles don't go race every car and truck that's out there just because they like to win.

Everybody wants to be like Jimmie Johnson during his FIVE TIME SPECTACULAR. They just think they can do it while winning every other race in the world. Carl and KYLE, not happening.

Tony Stewart loves to race those lower series too . No big deal unless your name is Busch.

Schrader, and Stewart, love racing. Stewart has a team where he gives countless drivers a chance to win races and he owns a racetrack. Kyle started a late model team so he could win races. He started a truck and Nationwide team so he could get those 200 wins. Schrader also gives other drivers rides.

Also, Stewart and Schrader show up to tons of races, even races that don't pay a whole lot. Kyle only shows up to the big money shows.

If these guys liked to race to race (as Tony does), they'd show up to races that paid $1,000 or less to win. They'd run ARCA races instead of flying halfway across the country to run a Nationwide race. With Kyle, Kevin Harvick and Carl Edwards, it's all about the money.

Dear track promoters,
Please stop allowing Kyle Busch to race at your race tracks. Having a big name helps draw more fans? So what? You should still not let Kyle in the front gate..

Jesus Larry, get a shovel. I never said he shouldn't be allowed to run late model races. I'm merely pointing out that, unlike Schrader and Stewart (and several others), Kyle only shows up to big money races. And seeing as Kyle only runs the big money races, he's running races that would fill the stands whether he's there or not.

Why, so I can bury the dead horse you keep beating?

Here ya go. This may be better to finish the job.....

I was there and you all know I'm not a fan of Kyle but I'll let you know he had to fight hard for that win he wasn't kicking ass or anything. He truly deserved and earn the win with hard work. It was a great day thought and I loved it and I'd love if they came back next year.

Apparently you're wrong to have enjoyed it, because someone on this forum says so....

Well unlike some people I don't let people I don't like winning a race ruin it for me. The action was great on the track a lot of nice side by side racing. I got videos and pictures I'll try to get up later.

Good racing in a CRA race? At least Kyle didn't have to wreck Bubba to win like he did Johanna a couple years ago.

Yeah the racing was pretty good, they had a few wrecks but nothing I saw as dirty racing and Kyle passed Bubba fairly and clean and I honestly was proud he could do that. Not a fan of the guy still but it made me respect him more and if he drove like that all the time I'd probably become a fan of his. Heck he could race the way he does not but not get all up tight when someone wrecks him and I'd be a fan probably.

That's rare for CRA. Their races are either complete wreckfests or they'll go caution free. Either way, it's like any asphalt super late model show, there's only five cars running at the end and only one good car. I love racing but I don't enjoy the super late models -- or the asphalt modifieds for that matter.

They was quite a few cars at the end and at one point it seemed liked three or four guys could have won the race. The first race they had that Chase Elliott won had a very cool finish that was cause of a wreck but the finish was pretty great.
