According to SceneDaily.com, Joe Gibbs Racing could expand to four teams in 2011.

Walmart has been mentioned as a possible sponsor, and AJ Allmendinger, Regan Smith and Bobby Labonte have all been mentioned as possible candidates for the job. Allmendinger would likely be the organization's first choice, but at this point, it is all speculation.

I can't see Labonte going back to Gibbs.

AJ would be a good choice but does anyone know his contract status with Petty?

I believe everyone at RPM is up at the end of year

AJ would be nice but Smith deserves a shot

Totally agree. Regan Smith might be the most under rated driver in Cup right now. In his rokkie year he made 34 races and completed all but 168 laps of those races. He also was running at the end of every race he ran. Pretty intelligent driving for a rookie.

Not to mention it was for a very under-funded team at Front-Row. He has potential.

Isn't Walmart in talks with HMS to go on the #24? Although I can't picture Jeffs wife shopping there.

Bobby Labonte should retire with some dignity as a former champ.

In another year or two Petty will be gone, unfortunately a sad end to a icon of the sport.

Wouldnt Colin Braun and Matt DiBenedetto splitting time in a part time cup ride with no expectations be the best course of action?

Braun can't run a nationwid race without hitting everything but the pacecar plus he is a Roush driver why would he go to Gibbs?

I can't imagine wearing a shirt with Walmart on it! lol

I still think that Pepsi will take over as Jeff's Primary sponsor with the secondary position being filled by National Gaurd and Dupont

So instead of sipping a Pepsi on camera he would have to wear one of those $5 cotton T-Shirts? Not exactly Jeff Gordon style lol

Hmmm, now it seems as though I'm hearing class envy in NASCAR? Well I guess that is what Jeffy brought to the sport and it bled over to other drivers. However, not all are the uppity ups that some say they are. I heard just today the Tony Stewart was wanting to cook up some chilli with his girlfriend but didn't remember the recipe he last used. So Tony called on hi ex-girlfriend for the recipe. I just can't see a snob doing that. But then again, I've never heard anyone call Tony a snob.

While we are on the subject, don't you reckon it is the wives for the drivers who present the image of their husband? I don't remember any wife that didn't carve out an image for her husband. Heck even the ol Ironhead who was the intimidator had an Ironwife behind him.
