How do you do that in practice? Plow into the guy ahead of you on pit road?

Forget to turn.
I dont see where he could have turned. 2 cars going by on track, the car in front of him stops to let them go by, and Gilly isn't even paying attention...

I missed it, not saw anythig on TV about the race today, and really nothing yesterday. I was just guessing they were in there pit stalls and he went stright.
He said in the later interview that he was trying to get all the switches turned on and just wasn't paying attention. Plus, I don't think he expected John to be stopped at the end of pit road.

I read where he was busy turning on the many switches that need to be turned on and yes, he wasn't paying attention to what was in front of him. I was a mistake that many of us make but shouldn't.
