Performance Parts in NASCAR? What part of a GM, Ford, Toyota, or Dodge is a performance part that is used in any of the three series? For that matter what part of any "stock" car is made by the manufacturer no that we have the bulldozers on track?

I think the hood and decklid is made by the manufacturer
not anymore, with the COT. Nothing is OEM anymore that I know of.

What this concerns, is the factory support and the GM HPP engine blocks. Yea, hendrick might have his own heads made, but i'll bet you the block is off the GM perf. parts list.

how much longer before they start lookin at their crate motor program..... I would think that with all the local racing series, and the many hot rodders out there, it SHOULD be profitable, but still......

It is just a matter of time before the crate motor becomes reality, then I think I'll stop following Cup and play more Golf. The series has already become a joke IMO, the rules, the cars, and some of the tracks have brought a sport I was once so passionate about and made it something I could take or leave come every Sunday.
