NASCAR on Sunday notified Chevrolet and Pontiac teams it was re-instituting the front air dam rule it used at Michigan for next weekend’s race at Darlington, S.C.
Chevrolets will be allowed to extend their front air dams out by one inch, while Pontiac teams will be allowed a half-inch extension.
NASCAR will again evaluate the performance of the teams following next Sunday’s Southern 500 to decide whether to use the rule at the Sept. 7 race at Richmond, Va.
Im not much of a fan of this. I think the Dodges Chevys and Pont's are nearly equal, but Ford seems to be the better make of the 4. Why not just take something away from Ford and see what happens?
