Nothing would be sweeter than to see the Spankees go down so early.

Well, it would be sweeter if it were the Sox doing it but that isn't gonna happen so we just have to make due with whatever team is actually able to make it to October.

Anyway, DOWN WITH THE YANKEES!!!

If the Angels beat the Yankees, I'll be pulling for them the rest of the way.

Other than that I don't really know much about any of the teams.

DOWN WITH THE YANKEES!!!

We don't have any choice do we? DOWN WITH THE YANKEES!!

This fifth inning is terrific.

4 runs and still up with 1 out.

:D I don't follow baseball much, But I will jump on the Cards. band wagon.

9-2!!!!!!!!!

Wells=non factor
Jeter=non factor

Yankees=non contenders

So sweet!

Typical, jealous Red Snotz fan. :p

I'm actually glad. I'd have been glued to my t.v. the next two weeks if they won today. Now, maybe, I'll get something done with my damn time.

In good ol' TWF fashion, I have yet to see the Yankees lose a championship game. :)

What an OUTSTANDING game!! The 5th inning was classic but the whole game was great. I'm not exactly a die hard Yankee hater, but it doesn't hurt me one bit to see them lose. I also love watching the underdog win, and who wudda thunk that the Angels wudda beat the Yanks ?!?! I'll be pulling for the Angels all the way up the WS. If my Braves make it to the WS then I'll be pulling for them. If they don't make it..... GO ANGELS!!

:beerchug: :thumbsup: :calpping:

Very nicely done.

Yankees can go home and do their nails for the next few months.

What have the BoSox been doing this whole time, opening their own chain of hair salons? They sure had plenty of time! :p

Yeah, actually.

At least we don't have a Jeeeter on our team. Imagine having to work with that primidonna?

Manny is getting there but not nearly as bad as Jeeeeter.

Maybe if you had a Jeter on your team, you'd have won a world championship in the last 84 years. :D

Believe me, there's nothing you can say to a Sox fan to upset them. We're a callous fan, immune to any kind of insult.

Like you said, after 85 years of disappointment...

Jeter irks every single baseball fan in the world with the exception of NY'ers.

The guy is just too over the top.

I don't mind Rivera too much, but Jeter is just the epitome.

One more baseball note...

Three old biddies converge near me on my way back from the local 24-hour market.

First old biddie: Where've ya' been?

Second old biddie: I've been watchin' the baseball.

[Long pause.]

Third old biddie: Who's winnin'? The Mets?

This just happened, btw. :)

Too over the top because he dumped Mariah Carey?

Or because today he got his 100th post-season hit, more than any other player in the history of baseball?

:huh:

But, not many of those hits came at the expense of Pedro.

Pitchers are the most important part of a team, and Pedro's the best right now.

Yeah, we could've used Pedro's help this series. :rolleyes:

David Wells was shopping in the company store a few months back, when I shot him a look of fright upon discovering his monstrous visage. I wonder if that had anything to do with tonight?... :uhmnotsur
