Got a Marcis Auto Racing entry in the Busch race.

It's the #81 Warranty Gold car of team manager Dwayne Liek.

Yeah, I saw that. Dwayne Leik used to run an ARCA car for Dave Marcis, but has since tried moving him to the Busch series for the past two years. They have a microscopic budget to work with, but they are trying.

Well he was till the rain started....got up to 34th
 
Yeah, but their problem is the car usually doesn't make the whole race. They are trying, though.
 
It's all used stuff. They bought the Busch cars from Andy Petree last year and Dwayne has only had em out a few times.

That he actually passed 8 cars on track (even if he did fall back) is a huge improvement. I'm thinkin/hoping this is more than anything, just a Daytona test in disguise.

Dwayne's been hangin with Dave for a bit over 5 years now I think waiting his turn at a chance. Maybe a full Busch run next year?

I'm sure their goal is to run a full season, but it all depends on money.
 
But he's back up to 32nd. Top-30 would be a small victory for that team, especially if he makes it to the end of the race.
 
Cooked the motor, guess ya gotta get on tv somehow.....kinda figured the way it fell back to 41st right after the first restart that it was done. Still, he climbed it back up there for a bit. Coulda been worse.

The body and frame are still clean, and they only used three or four sets of tires for the whole weekend. At least it's not too long of a drive home.
 
They'll be back, don't worry. With their earnings from Atlanta to try and make the next race.
 
North Carolina? That's only a week but yup, pull the motor out of the backup if nothing else. 37th pays 15 to 20G's but toasting that motor hurt.

Think I'll use some of free weekend cell minutes to give the shop a call tomarrow afternoon and try to find out what's going on.
