Go Johnny Go!

I'm really starting to believe Johnny is too nice a guy to be an accomplished race car driver.

He needed to do the bump and run. He says he tried it, but I didn't really see it.

Too bad. :(

I did when they both went up the track while passing Newman

Johnny bumped him, but when he did Kurt held it pretty good, plus there was nowhere for Johnny to go anyway.

Once clear of the traffic Johnny just quite get to him.

Good job, both drivers

I think they bumped because Newman was in the way and Busch had to check up.

Benson never really got close enough to give him a big bump.

Plus I don't think he really would have. You know, not all racers have to be aggressive to be successful. Johnny Benson is a lot like Dale Jarrett, if you ask me, and Dale Jarrett has been doing fine.

I would have still liked to seen a bump, though... :)

There are a select few drivers who value the actual race more than the win.

Benson, Jarret (who proves that nice does win Cups), Craven.

I think Bobby Labonte and John Andretti fit into that catagory. Man this would have been so cool if he won.

Can't forget Waltrip. God, you know there's been a few times where he would have just liked to move Earnhardt Jr. out of the way, but he hasn't. lol.

Hehe... How can we forget him with his sponsor endorsements and his big hair. :)

I didn't think it was necessary to throw in "and remember, Todd Bodine is on probation" when Kurt Busch went to pass him. Todd has the right to race the leaders if he wants, he doesn't have to just pull over to let them by, especially if he's racing the car in front of him for position. Him being on probation makes it sound like he's got to pull over and be what other drivers want him to be. Sorta sucks for CueBall.

Dale Jarrett's first Winston Cup race was in 1984.

His first win came at Michigan in 1991.

Johnny Benson's first Winston Cup race was in 1996.

I guess he's on a good pace after all. :)

Since I have so thoroughly jinxed Johnny in the past. I now believe that going the other way in my thought process will help him.

Dale Jarrett got his first win in his 129th Winston Cup race.

JB is now at 224 races in Winston Cup.

Basically he is awful!:D

There are two drivers currently in Winston Cup ( why I cannot imagine for the life of me) that I am on full double secret permanent probation which prohibits me from speaking well off them in any way shape or form.

Dave Blaney - Who managed to embarass himself completely by blindly stumbling to the front of the field today. The guy needs to go back to agricultural racing.

Johnny Benson -- Who once again proves that he just hasn't a clue at this level. Get this guy back to the minors before he embarasses himself and everyone around him.

Note: Upon either of these drivers first win the probation is voided. (Don't hold your freakin' breath!)

:D :D :D

Since I probably jinxed Johnny by starting this thread, I'll go along with you on both those fronts, HS. :D

Johnny, go back to Busch, you Cupwhacker!

Ok i just read the 2 posts above this, and lets just say i got a little ticked!! Then i went back and read the last page thankfully, and i am calm now!!lol :D you guys had me going there. I was about to bust a huge nascar war on you two:D

Speaking of jinxes, I have a JB shirt and i started to wear it every sunday for about 2 months now and JB has ran good but not always finished good and last week i did not wear it and Johnny ran terrible. I wore it today and he almost won!? I think i found my new shirt to wear every sunday. Now i need to fin something for KP to do better

I wonder if Benson has the killer instinct? I sure was pulling for him though.
