We're kinda behind in building a trailer in metal fab at school, so i'm gonna be working after-hours to help finish it (till 6:30 tomorrow and thursday probably, plus a few days next week) then the 15th-18th i'm going to be at the san antonio rodeo and stock show for the judging. I'm leaving immediately after school the 15th so i wont be around at all after 10 PM on the 14th (the wednesday).

see everybody sunday or so. Gotta load everything onto the trailer and bolt it all down tomorrow in class then take off at 5:30-6:00 PM CST tomorrow.

Saturday 5:35 PM: awarded blue ribbon
Saturday 7:45 PM: to the hotel

Sunday 6:20 AM: wake up
Sunday 4:35 PM: packed up, hitched up, heading home

En route on the return trip, we had to stop for about 15 minutes to do a road-side repair to the shackles on the trailer, they had flipped and the fender was rubbing the tire. Good eye by my friend in the passenger seat. Found out it had happened again when we got home at 11:00 PM. We fixed it in class today so it won't happen again, even tested by going 20 over a speedbump.

It's taking off again tomorrow with a different show group to san angelo, returns thursday, then we're going to add stuff to it on friday and monday before it takes off for houston with a third different show group.

Busy trailer, eh? Only gonna log 1000 miles on it in it's first month assembled.


We won showmanship for small schools and the chairman's award. 3000 dollars in tools including a brand new Miller 210 series MIG welder. Pictures as soon as i get them uploaded.

I assume that the tools and other goodies will go to the school, or do you guys get to keep them??

everything goes to the school. We had a 10,000 dollar shopping spree at the beginning of the year for new tools plus a 4500 grant and 3000 in freebies so we're up to 15,700 dollars in tools (we kept 1800 of that grant).
 
well, the trailer placed fourth in san angelo

and guess what..due to my involvement at san antonio, i'm going to houston too. The teacher figures that if i won the school 3000 in goodies with one helper, he thinks we can win showmanship again PLUS maybe even place at houston, it's a bigger show. He thinks maybe we can will up to 5000 in more goodies.

so i'm leaving monday at noon and be back thursday afternoon.

I havent got all my sanantone pics up yet and off i head to houston..out of 5 classes that use textbooks, lets just say i'm bringing 4. my full bookbag, my camera bag (also full), my overnight bag (also full), and a walmart bag of textbooks.

thinketh i'm gonna be a little studious to stay as caught up as I can?

we didnt win anywhing but DAMN that is the biggest sow i have ever seen. The building- all 1 convention center, one big room- is a quarter mile long and 300 feet wide.

bellevue swept practically everything. Won overall champion, overall reserve champion, and placed in seemingly every class.
