Good day in the ER

My daughter just arrived for T-Day+2. She's a EMT/FF and ER tech. She did a noon to midnight shift at the ER yesterday.

Not a single heart attack or stroke. No attempted suicides, holidays always seem to breed these. No car accident victims. The major trauma of the day was a 11 year old boy who broke his wrist playing "touch" football with family. He left smiling with his cast autographed by the nurses and a copy of his X-ray to show his friends.

On the FF front, word is nobody burned down their house trying to deep fry a turkey.

I'd say it was a pretty good day. Hope it catches on in every ER. :beerbang:

Our party friend deep fried 4 birds- 2 turkeys and 2 chickens - in his garage. He has a crank and pulley system that lowers the bird in ever so slowly, plus he has it on a rubber mat. Meanwhile we had an 8 course dinner.

Today, we put the copper air lines in the garage/attic. Nothing like soldering copper pipe in an attic right next to the roof decking.
