I came home from work today, and there was X-mass crap everywhere. Blah

Blah is right. It is way to early for that. We have a rule in our house no Christmas decorations until after TWF's birthday.

After Thanksgiving is okay for me, but it is way too early for Christmas decorations NOW!!

pretty soon, the stores will just leave up christmas decorations all year round. i guess they figure most people pay for them all year round, might as well try and keep the spirit:p

how true that statement is!!!:) Alot of the stores around town here had the Christmas decorations out even before Halloween! And as you said above, one of the stores keeps their decorations (it's a very small area) all year long!

I saw Christmas stuff out in early September this year. Wanted to just scream.

What happened to the good old days when Christmas didn't appear until the day after Thanksgiving?

:p

We already have the local soft rock music station playing non-stop christmas stuff. They started after Halloween.

The guy across the street has his outdoor decorations up. His large santa cutout looks ridiculous surrounded by a pile of leaves. On the way to work this am, I passed 4 houses with lit Christmas decorations.

you know, it takes all the joy out of xmas..when they start so early........they just want you to BUY BUY BUY..every little impulse item they put out there,
xmas used to be fun..I haven't enjoyed xmas in about 10 years because of how thery rush the season so fast......:(
guess maybe I am getting old...........

I saw that title for the thread and thought of Charlie Brown!!!! :lol2:

I have seen house's already lit-up, and trees sitting in the windows. Heck I even saw at departments stores they ahd all there displays up befor Halloween

We are putting up our tree next weekend after Thanksgiving

The best time to go Christmas shopping is about 3 in the morning, but its usually pretty busy then too! :)

Our time of decorating depends largely on when my brother feels like letting it happen. His birthday is 10 days before Christmas, so he gets to decide when
the tree goes up.

Good gracious, way to soon. Santa doesn't even show his face till the Thanksgiving parade at Macey's in NYC.

Let's start celebrating Speed Week NOW!!!!

I usually get the Christmas bug pretty early, but for some reason it hasn't really hit me yet. Usually the first snowfall puts me squarely in the Christmas spirit. We haven't had one yet, but I keep hopeing it is soon. They say maybe this weekend. I will keep my fingers crossed.

Geeze, it seems we just took down the tree from last year!:) It isn't time yet!:(

Snow, I can not wait to be driving home from work in the snow. I is Great. No one esle on the unplowed roads. A little Motley Crew blareing on the radio. Get home to find out I get to shovel my driveway before I can pull in. It's the best. This isn't sarcasm. I enjoy shoveling my driveway. Kind of like cutting my grass in the spring.

well, i enjoy paying someone to shovel it then giving them hot chocolate and then going around and shoveling out my neighbors. isnt that fuunny

We have to put ours up early,it takes 2 to 3 weeks to break the cats from climbing it.

well, now that there is snow on the ground, (like we all wanted) i guess its time to get the tree:)

Actually I'm starting to think those "weird" people putting lights and other things up in Sept. are smart. They don't freeze there arse off in the middle of December when its -10 degrees out :(

i do believe when we get our next house, i am going to permanantly install the lights on the outside of the house;)
