:bounce: A 16th place finish in his first race in the #43 car! That's one of the best finishes this year for the Petty cars.

Like I said in the other thread, maybe its not the cars, but the drivers that is the problem.

your right RobbyG Fan...but sometimes it is. Maybe next year will be good for Petty Interprises

WEll next week he will be in the 43 as well. Lets see if he will run good again! HE will also be in the car at Lowe's( is that the week after dega?)

If he does good in those 3 races I hope they consider offering him a full time ride next year!

Kansas is the week after Talladega to be exact.

I'm not a fan of Jeff Green but what a good run for him and the 43 and the entire Petty Enterprises Organization.

Don't care much for Green at all. But it's good to see the 43 run in the mid tees. Not the high 20s or 30s.

Lets all hope and pray that this is something to look foward to Please please please

Hopes and prayers aren't going to help this team. They need to get off thier dead azzes and make something happen. You can hope and pray all day, but if you don't move on the problems that exist, it ain't gonna help.

This is a crass way of saying Petty Enterprises SUCK !!!!!!!! They are a better team with good people but they should either get serious about thier efforts or close the doors. It is a shame the history of such a great team is being tarnished by the lackadasical performance from the past fifteen years.

I guess the question now becomes, how long can the name Petty stay in competition?? They are fighting it out with A.J.Foyt to see who will be the first team to take the last provisional and there are no trophys or awards at the banquet for that dubious distinction.

I would like nothing better than to see PEI become competitive again, but hoping and praying ain't the answer. This is a gut check for PEI more than a prayer vigil.

i belive it is the cars. IMO they are JUNK.
Put the blame wherever you want, the fact remains until PEI does something to rectify the situation the end result will remain the same. Provisional starts and poor finishes.

Although Jeff Green ran a good race this weekend, bringing the car home 16th, that's about where that car was running when John Andretti was racing it. I think that whole Petty organization is a mess right now, and what they need to do is get a veteran driver with that team and start running consistently up front (or even mid-pack would be an improvement).
