Good move award

Plus they didn't put up too many seats either, it holds about 50K. Looks like it wasn't a sell out:

I didn't see your post until after I had posted that same link in another thread but yes, it was far from a sell out. Kentucky will be the same way. They'll pull in the fans for a couple of years and then they'll probably see a steep drop in attendance.

The track proper without temporary seating has a 30,000 capacity, so 37,000 would be a sellout in one sense of the word.

empty seats....

just curious...

is there a list of what it costs to take a family of four to a nascar race?

i remember seeing a list of what it cost to take an "average" family of four to a baseball game at all the different stadiums. i think the cost was computed including the price for tickets, food, and souvenirs.

has nascar priced themselves out of the "family event" category? maybe more like "take a racing buddy" show?

anyway...would love to see a list with a breakdown of costs to attend a race. i know the last two times i went, charlotte and michigan, it cost a chunk of change for the race weekend. and that was over five years ago.

Orioles game only costs me $60 the whole night -- but that's $40 tickets because it was an Orioles/Yankees game. Tickets are $8 for a regular game.
