'morning forum folk,

It's a chilly 8 degrees in the land of the cheese this am. Not that it really matters, 'cuz I'll be inside in front of the TV.

Yes, today is the day we've been waiting for..... DAYTONA!!!!!!!!! While I'm not all that fond of plate racing, it is the start of the 2004 season.

Many questions come to mind for this first race:
Can Greg make it to the front before the big one? Will Jeff help him get there? How will the rookies do? When will the "big one" happen and who's fault will it be?
For the answers to these and other questions, stay tuned. But for now, buckle up buttercup, it's time to go racin'

I am with you Nascarwoman. I love the start of the season, but I hate plate "races" with a passion. I know they will never move the season opener from Daytona, nor would I expect them to. I just wish they would take those damned plates off.

Oh well, it is still the start of it all.

Good raceday morning folks! It is finally here!!!!! Daytona! I just want to wish all the drivers a safe race, and hopefully the "big one" doesn't happen! Wishfull thinking I'm sure, but a fan can hope can't they?

Here's to the start of another great racing season, and here's another to the hopes that everyone here minds their p's and q's and stays out of trouble!
