FORT WORTH, Texas - Overnight storms that blew through North Texas left widespread damage at Texas Motor Speedway.

Coming off of a hugely popular NASCAR weekend storms carved a path of destruction at the speedway in North Fort Worth this morning.

These storms came thru late Sunday night,early Monday morn.

Bruton Smith held a press conference this afternoon and he attributed the damage to a 6.7 scale earthquake caused by the 2.9 million people leaving the track in RV's and four wheel drives.
