Heavy rain Saturday, we're talking monsoon type rain and I do know about them. Sometime in the night we lost power. Yesterday the winds really came. My elderly neighbor had a tree come down on her house and no Andy she wasn't killed.
I've lost some roof shingles and siding, most important was my little Honda generator done "blowed up".
My daughter never made it to New York, they were called back to 'work' here. Never did much 'work'. Did tell her about eating MRE's, Meals Refuse Exit, she said "that's the truth!"
As a hurricane Irene was a bust, as a strong storm she was successful. There's still close to 300,000 without power,down from 500,000.
Going to take a ride and become a looky-loo and see for myself how bad/good it was.
