Goodyear needs to go.

Happened during All-Star race qualifying, and now it happened for the 600 qualifying. Crash after crash after crash. These guys cant even hold on to the car by themselves due to no grip, imagine in a race with 42 other drivers.

Goodyear needs to go. All they care about (just like Nascar) is that $$$. They keep on giving the teams cinder blocks as tires and somebody will end up getting killed.

Throw Montoya in the mix and everything will go to **** even worse.

Granted they have too hard of a tire here however is that not NASCAR's call with regards to requesting a certain compound?

I'm sure NASCAR yanks their chains on it. With the new pavement at Charlotte, the concern was too much grip would lead to excessive tire wear on the right front and that would lead to blow outs and hard crashes. But they went too far the other way. The compound needs to be somewhere in the middle.

Excessive speed more like it....they didn't want speeds topping out at around 200 down the straights and averages around 190-194.

See the hated COT solves a lot of these problems by slowing the cars down. Then Goodyear/Nascar can give the drivers a tire more suitable to the track. Safer cars, safer tires all without the dangerous speeds that some drivers can't harness.

Yeh you would think that would make a lot of sense giving the teams a softer compound tire, but ...oh wait this is Cup racing....nothing here really makes sense.;)
