Gordon: Hendrick did Kyle Busch a favor
Jeff Gordon was asked if he believe Kyle Busch holds some bitterness toward the Hendrick team and about the brief pit road discussion they had after last week's Coca-Cola 600. "It's hard for me to figure out,'' Gordon said. "I wouldn't be surprsied if there was. it's understandable. I think that you look at the situation, there's going to be one person that was the odd man out and we chose him. I 'm sure he questioned why would we choose him. We all know how talented he is and how fast he went and he won races. So obviously there was a reason why he was odd man out. I'm sure that he does have some bitterness toward that. The way I look at it, look at the situation he's in. I feel we did him a favor." -- Virginian-Pilot

Gordon is probably right, but its a tough way to go. But Kyle is winning and and Hendrick's aren't, so there is something to be said for that. Duane

Funny to me that he keeps suggesting he had input as to who was let go

I'm sure Kyle is glad to be outta there

I just don't understand people like you. Do you go out of your way to be an obnoxious twit or does it just come naturally? You add absolutely nothing to any of the conversations I've ever seen you respond to.

It must come easy to rcr4life being an obnoxious fool, but it would take a life time of study, and that may not be enough, to figure why anyone would want to be so despicable when corresponding with others showing respect for one another.

Most of us have a little time set aside to engage in respectful repartee with one another on this forum and enjoy that small amount of time. These are usually fun days.

Then there are the days rcr4life screws up any faith in the advancement of the human race with a near perfect demonstration of an anal orifice.

Hendrick probably did Kyle a favor by letting him go. Now he get the "Good" stuff;)

I do find it interesting that Hendrick has some what dropped the ball after last year with the COT. Sure they are running decent but the win column has a lot to be desired.

I think, like it has been said before, that Hendrick is not so much behind rather than all the other big guns have caught up with the COT. Seems that last year Hendrick was much further ahead with the COT than the other teams. The addition of Gibbs to Toyota has given that manufacturer a huge edge, not only in drivers, but also in research and development and engineering. I felt last year that Toyota would be very strong this year, actually looks like they may have a chance to win the Cup.

Because I'm tired of Jeff and his comments toward other drivers. Ky is twice the driver that Gordon is and Gordon knows it, that's why he wont shut up. I bet my next paycheck that he says something else next week.

Get back to me when Kyle has 4 Championships, over 80 wins, and the RESPECT of the other drivers. Did it ever occur to you that they keep asking Jeff about Kyle? They ask Jeff about other drivers since he is the only active driver with that impressive record. That little incident with Kyle and Jeff after the race was because if you look at the picture, Kyle came over to Jeff's car, not vice versa. Kyle wanted to get in Jeff's face and Jeff gave him a piece of his mind. You want to go off all ****y, well then, you're going to hear it back, boy!

Notice whose car they're standing in front of - I hope you can see it since I resized as to not take up too much space.

I like this angle so I can subtitle it. LOL

Listen to BIG DADDY, BOY!!!!!!! :D

Ya know dude, I have to agree with others who have commented on the way you post. I recently made ammends w/you, and now you're back at it. People have always liked different drivers and if anything was said somewhat negatively, it was more in a teasing manner. That's what made this board so much more pleasurable to post at than a lot of other racing boards. We tease, not bash! You might try some tact once in a while. How you word things can make a world of difference as to how others respond to you. FWIW

:beerbang:AMAN SISTER!!! I couldn't have said it better myself.:beerbang:
The only thing I would add is that Kyle went running with his tail between his legs like a scared little puppy.;)

Do you hear yourself, RCR4Life???

Stop and think what you posted. Doesn't it occur to you that the reason others here think your constant barrage of negativity toward certain drivers is tiring and disrespectful.
If you show respect to others, you will get respect in return.
For now, you are considered a jerk with zero credibility.

I think he acts like a mature gentleman. That is just your opinion and you know what they say about opinions. :)

First, let's get back on track. Leave personal stuff out of discussion.

Second, I agree with Jeff --- by allowing Kyle to leave, it gave him the opportunity to "be out from under" (so to speak) an 80+ time winner and 4-time champion, and a 2-time champion.

Third --From what I can see of Kyle's personality -- and I have only the TV to judge -- he is an A-type personality ---- he's the "driven one" in an office, has to be the best, and can't stand to be outshone in his job. JGR has given him the opportunity to break out, and he's made the most of it.

I may not like him, but I admire the hell out of his talent.

So getting out of his car and SHOVING matt is a gentleman??????Yeah right:rolleyes:

Everyone complains because the guys aren't allowed to show any emotion. Well, Jeff showed emotion and got a hefty fine for it. Last year when Harvick and Montoya were playing "rockem sockem robots" at The Glen, NASCAR decided "they were just having a discussion." Uh yeah, right! I have photos taken at the track of that incident. It was fun, but they need to decide when it's worth a fine and when they're just "having a discussion."

Matt didn't get the name, "Matt the Brat" for no reason. ;)
Unlike most race fans, these guys have it out for a minute or two or maybe a week or two depending on the driver(s) and then they're over it. I have heard Jeff say really nice things about Matt. I've heard him say he "trusts" Matt to race hard with him unlike some other drivers who have less experience and perhaps, aren't as talented as Matt.

And as a Jeff Gordon fan, I felt bad Matt was doing so poorly this year, and I'm glad to see he's starting to climb up the standings.

Kyle gets on my nerves because of his ****y behavior. I give him props for being a great driver.

I don't feel the need to trash every other driver out there besides my favorite. If Jeff is out of the running, I'll root on another driver I like. If one happens to do something stupid, I'll comment on it and then let it go. Sometimes, it just plain amuses me. :D

I think they did Kyle busch a favor. Now He's in a much better position. He gets one of the top 3 toyotas every race. He wasn't getting a top 3 chevy at hendrick. I'm not a fan of his but more people talk about how stupid he is rather than how good he is. I think he is an outstanding diver but a spoiled brat at the same time.

So getting out of his car and SHOVING matt is a gentleman??????Yeah right:rolleyes:
Matt Kenseth's not the cleanest driver himself. I remember him wrecking Harvick under caution a few years back....intentionally.

I have more respect for Jeff than I do Matt. Kenseth thinks he owns the racetrack, just like Wild Thing. Except, Wild Thing has 4xs the talent Kenseth does. Kenseth's gotten into it with Gordon, Harvick, Stewart and a couple others over in Busch. That's 6 championships, 4 Daytona 500s and 7 Brickyard 400 victories he's pissed off.

Kenseth took a g.d. cheap shot at Gordon. You take a cheap shot at someone, you better expect one back. Personally, I'm glad Gordon gave him that shove off track rather than going wrecking several good racecars to "prove a point" like Wild Thing wouldn't care about doing.

If you've got a problem, take it off the track. Don't wreck a racecar someone else has to build to make a point. And, if you point a finger at someone and get in their face, don't whine if they get back in yours. Human nature baby, get in my face and I'm gonna get back in yours.

Care to show me any other incidents where Jeff Gordon's shoved someone off-track or wrecked someone on-track to prove a point? :)

So that gives him the right to act like a jerk?
Moreso than it does Wild Thing.

Yet you Kyle koolaid drinkers think it's acceptable for Wild Thing to pull off his antics because he's a good driver.

I drive with hundreds of other motorists on 301 who drive like Wild Thing. I have to be up on the wheel to avoid getting in an accident.

buy a helicopter. Carry a bunch of red spray paint on you and make a helipad anywhere you've landed.

The drivers record doesnt mean he give him the right to open his mouth and trash talk anyone....

I guess that would cover a good deal of the drivers on the track. LOL They've all trash-talked, some more than others. I'd say considering the comments many others have made, Jeff's are a lot fewer. I think sometimes he tries too hard to be the diplomat in what he says instead of saying what he really thinks. He's getting more outspoken as they go to him as one of the senior drivers in the garage. The guy can't help if he's the "go to" person and gets asks questions. Would you rather he just say, "No Comment?" I think Kyle has done more trashing in just a few races than Jeff has done in a year. And yes, I'm biased and I don't deny it. Like I've said before, it all depends on who you like as to how you see a situation.

I'm just happy there's a bunch of guys who go out there and entertain me (most of the time) every week. I was sooooo bored when it was off-season, the shortest of any sport. :)

Noww that I can agree with..... Ladies and Gents i will shut up now :)
