I thought nascar said no more burnouts because of Biffles tires blowing out and makeing the car too low? Can anyone explain this to me?

You can burn out........but if you blow a tire doing it you could be disqualified........Jeffie took that chance!!

Nascar didnt outlaw burnouts, they simply warned the drivers if an incident like Biffles happened again there might be a penalty given.

Ok I must of miss understoof it also whhy diden't Nascar "park" Robbie Gordon like they did to Kevin Harvick because Robbie was bumpin all night long even on cautions. I think that deserved a "parking" don't you?

To take it a little further, If a tire is blown during a burnout, NASCAR would measure that cars height with the blown tire thus resulting in a car that is likely too low for post race inspection.

That rule is only for Harvick, you should know that by now.

I just thought that was funny. I don't think I have seen that happen very much. Gordon's burnouts have improved alot. Looks like those lessons from Harvick are paying off.

Not sure what you mean by "park". They did park him for two laps. And remeber that Kevins one race suspension was for more cause than on track bumping.

I got one simple question for you newbies. Who exactly set this standard for burnouts? When did we start rating them? OK, that's 2 questions.

It's like a touchdown dance. The fans like it, so the sanctioning body is against it. And who cares anyway?

I don't particularly like burnouts.........it's sort of childish. But they aren't outlawed.

I'm all for them. Hey, the guy just won a race for God's sake...let him blow off a little steam. After all, this sport is nothing but a celebration of horsepower.

I don't know who set the standard. I just think that Harvick does them the best.

Too bad that Nascar warn the Drivers about them. For it...I missed Bill do them at Pocono and At Indy. Nascar needs to lighten up on that little standard and let these drivers burn out do donuts etc. Its good for the fans too...

I thought Jimmy Spencer had the best donuts today, thanks to sgbh:p

Harvick does some sweet burnouts, but Smokes burnout around Sear's point was the best!!!
