Here kitty, kitty, kitty
Had to purchase a new pair of boots for work as I wore out one of the best pairs I've ever owned. But I just didn't want to pay the huge bucks the postal catalogs charge. Occasionally I've bought this make of boots before so I thought I would give them a go once again. Magnum Viper II 8 SZ. Just what I was looking for but I couldn't see any size 10 wide. Then I looked up and there was one on the top shelf. That box was labeled 25 bucks less than what the others were labeled. I tried them on, walked around a bit and they felt great so I boxed them back up and took them to the cashier. Now they scan the box and the "real" price came up on the screen. I told the guy, that isn't what is on the box and showed him the label. He said he couldn't make a call but the manager was coming to the front and he can make the call. He looked at the boots and said they are all supposed to be $94.99 with $5.00 off to sell for $89.99. My box had a label marked $64.99. Well the manager checked out all the other boxes and came up and said that the actual price for those boots was $89.99....but we have to honor the price on the box. It was the only box that was labeled that way. These boots sell from the maker for $120 and a lot of cops and security guards choose them for their work. They are great for bad weather for my work.
