The only comparable Droid device was the exact same price as iPhone 4.

Yea, but Droid is more open than an iPhone and if you need to change your battery or get your phone fix, you have to take it to Apple, and they charge a ton for the privilege of fixing your phone. Apple really has a bad habit of adding onto the cost by a wide margin when it comes to their products and god forbid you want to put in an App that doesn't come from the Apple Store.
Ive had an iPhone 2 (3G) and i got my iPhone 4 about a month ago and i love both. 
I sold my old iphone and it paid for my new one!
