My granddaughter is running in the Boston Marathon on Monday. She is excited, I am excited, we all are excited. :) I hope she is able to finish the 26.2 mile race. She is confident that she will finish and do well. :)

For the first time all entrants have a "scanning tag" on their shirt so they can be found if unable to finish the race. All first aid stations will have the ability to scan a person and then log in the location in a computer. There will be over 22,000 people from all over the world running in the Marathon.

Wish her luck.

Good luck and I hope you have a great finish.

I might wear a blue hockey jersey of the AHL Worcester IceCats there.

I hope your granddaughter did well Muggle Not. Did you hear about the new fastest time, 2:07:14?

2006 Boston Marathon - 26.2 miles (Kenyans won both male & female competition)

GD's time for 26.2 miles: 3:24:07

GD finished: 527 out of 8849 total female runners (top 6%)

GD finished: 4598 out of 22517 total combined male and female runners (top 20%)

WooHoo!!!!!!!

Thanks all. I am really proud of her times. She ran a very consistent race when I seen her times at each 5K of the race. There were 94 different Countries participating. The Kenyans are simply amazing.

I'm looking in the newspaper for your granddaughter's time. Four people finished with 3:24:07. Is your granddaughter either of these two, Tiffany R. Hevner or Amanda M. McCarthy?
