Not.

Turns out, I only took ten. Believe it or not, these are the best of the bunch. rolleyes:

#1: A closeup shot of turn 3. Is that me under the Viagra sign?!

Nope, I managed to catch not ONE lousy car in any of my shots. How about that cherry on the crap sundae of my weekend?

#2: The crowd.

I also have zero shots without the black pane.

#5: My extremely inaccurate room rate sign. I only paid around $120 a night.

That's it, btw. Yep. How unbelievable is that? And after I went to such trouble to format eleven floppy disks ahead of time, and kept my battery charged. :(

Makes perfect sense, considering how the rest of the weekend went.

I like your pictures...they are really nice..thank you for sharing them..:)

I like you though Abooja.Maybe you could give us some nice shots of the big city.:)

They might not be the best in the world, but Im sure that no matter how bad they are that they will still bring back the same memories for years to come...

At least your car didn't get stolen at Dover like mine did at Pocono.

I like the "unofficial" sign. I want a t-shirt that says that. "Tony Hit Me too!"

At least you were there!! You got to go to a race this year and you were worried you wouldn't get the chance!!:) Those are not bad photos........I know you saw more than the pictures show. My favorite is that one of your room rates.......you can impress your fellow employees at work with your "expensive tastes".:D

Thanks, guys! I thought cutiepie was joking, considering. You are too nice.

Pbunch: You want photos of NYC? I've got 'em. Took these a few weeks after 9/11.

#1: George W. Bush on 42nd Street!

Actually, it's a wax figure at Madame Tussaud's. :p

Thats priceless Abooja,Looks like he is using a remote controller on her. :p

That's true, Pbunch! :D

#2: Rare '01 "Giuliani For Mayor" posters. He wasn't eligible for another term, but some folks tried to help him make a run for it anyway. :)

Now don't you feel better allready Abooja Wooja?Thes are some nice pictures. :) You got any of the people in the streets going about there daily grind?:)

Oh, goodness abooja, thanks for not posting any of my dumb ass!!!!!

Thanks. :)

I don't have too many (you don't want to point a camera directly at most New Yorkers... :p ), but here's one. I was trying to get the Red Cross truck. This was also taken September 2001.

Unfortunately, I didn't get a one! :p

Heh heh... Um, no comment! :)

Here's a photo of the NASCAR/TNT poster in Times Square!! I was mesmerized by it. Taken September 21, 2001.

Last one (I think). Since you wanted people, Pbunch.

These are some people who walked home across the Queensboro Bridge with me on 9/11. They look pretty calm, don't they? Good old, tough as nails New Yorkers. :)

I am looking forward to comming out there in Feb. Abooja.I will spend a couple of days just site seeing for sure. Its been 6 yrs since I planned a buis. trip there.I am long over due. Thanks for the shots.:)

You're welcome, Pbunch. And have yourself a good time in NY! We should meet for a beer or something... :)

BTW, I've decided I'm not done with showing you some photos.

On the 9/11 theme again (since most of my digital photos of NYC are from the past year or so), here's a shot of WTC missing posters in the Times Square subway station. It still gives me the creeps.

And an even creepier one in front of the NY Public Library a few blocks away...

Don't know if you can make out what that sign says.

One more for the night. A more hopeful one, I hope.

A closeup of the Empire State Building, taken last fall when I was visiting my father in the hospital after his heart surgery. (I know, it's just a photo of a building, but I thought I'd give you some context.)

Good night, all. Thanks for letting me share... :)

Thanks for the pics, boo. I do appreciate them. If nothing else, the race pics will remind you of the race. I stayed at the Wyndham when I went to Dover!

Love the NYC pics.

Thanks, TRL. :)

Don't know how my silly Dover photo thread turned into a NYC post 9/11 photo thread! Guess that's just how my mind works.

I'd like to keep taking photos of the city and sharing them with you all. It brings me a certain satisfaction to know that you've seen what I see all the time. I wish some other folks would do the same. It helps to make this world a slightly smaller place. :)

Hey, at least you have a view, Paul! :D

I'll have to take a photo of the fabulous "view" from my living room tonight. Hint: it's got lots of bricks in it too.

Looks good Paul.Nothing like bed sheets that have dried on the clothes line.Sniff Sniff Sniff. Some people don't even have a good cardboard box to call home.;)

Paul,
When did you move to the upgraded Massachusetts living quarters? Your pic sure looks better than the last time I was there. hehehe

Ahhh gee, thanks for the photos abooja. Nice stuff. Got no camera or scanner but can offer this as one of the coolest sights Las Vegas has to offer. These boys are awesome and have had the pleasure of watching them do their practice stuff many many times

They go absolutely bonkers during their practice stuff. Las Vegas ain't got a whole lot to offer other than the strip, but every time I've gotten to watch these guys do their stuff I am awed.
