Great weekend.

What a great get away from home. Spent four days in eastern Tennesse up on top of Bush Mountain. Besides the scenery, the fun times we had in Pigeon Forge and the company, I watch five different racing series on the tube. And I missed the truck race. Watch all of the WoO race at Lowe's dirt track, the Nationwide race, the Formula 1 race at Monaco, the Indy 500 and last but certainly not least, the Coke 600. I also got to race my wife and daughter on the kart tracks. I let them win of course, but got a huge challenge to try my hand at beating the daughter in Greensboro. Man, this will be like stealing candy from a baby.

But alas, good things have to end and it's back to the grind tomorrow. Hope y'all had at least half as good a weekend as I did.

It didn't rain this weekend.

Friday night was exceptional. I really like working in the schools and being able to contribute to our kids' education. Some of the kids are assholes, but most of them are actually very good kids. I like that one of the schools I work at (located in the worst part of Waldorf) is so involved. The staff is devoted 100% to the kids' education.

I had an exceptional feeling of confidence on Friday knowing that I'm making a difference somewhere. Whenever the staff thank me, that's one thing. When the students thank me, sometimes even the littlest things, that's something that makes me proud.
