Harvick shows why he is the biggest idiot in Nascar racing today. What a fool.

What in the hell was Harvick thinking?

watching the replays from in-car, he was backing off the throttle.

Also, Jimmie was move'n up the track.

that right there, combinded with the draft, and Mark Martin right on Harvicks bumper... I think it was just a bad spot.

that's race'n. I understand no bump drafting in the turns, but, I don't think he was try'n to bump draft him.

A lot of the drivers are talking like it was Harvicks purpose, to make this happen. and I don't think it was.

Will have to disagree on that one. I watched this over and over with my DVR and Harvick had a run in the corner. From Harvicks in car camera Harvick popped Johnson once which is exactly when Johnson started to drift upward, Harvick then bumped him again in the left rear bumper which is what turned Johnson. You could see the jolt in the in car camera as a result of the first pop which was dead center and the second pop was to the side. Result? Johnson sideways and a lot of tore up race cars. It was not his purpose to do that. He was just a bit too aggressive out there today.

and upon further review one of the other camera clips shows the first hit which caused Jimmie to wiggle probably causing him to lose momentum and then Kevin again popped his left rear bumper sending him around.

totally agree, sure looks like it was harvicks fault, but thats just a product of plate racing. To me, it looked like, as if as harvick came up on him jimmie got loose and harvick just timed his move under him wrong. it happens.

  Thank you Kevin.....

You took the words right out of my mouth

We each have our own opinions, and who knows what Nascar will determine.
I though Kevin was in the wrong, but I'm not a Nascar official, nor was I driving.
TV shows it from the media's perspective.

I have to agree with N2, I watched several times myself and I came to the same conclusion.

I don't know. Not really a Harvick fan, but who knows what happens at moments like this. You're on the guy's ass. You know you can't lift. You don't want to spin him out, but damned, maybe this is your opportunity to slip by.

It's easy to criticize, if you're not in the driver's seat.

Pressure, pressure.

Well I know what happened. Kevin was overly aggressive. I think just about every driver at Daytona would agree. One pop in corner is one thing. Popping a guy twice in the corner is another. Its not a matter of lifting its a matter of apply the brake to slow your momentum. There are plenty of guys that get a run on another driver in the corner and I am sure many will tell you the appropriate way to aviod what happened.

Anyone think Kevin will have many friends out on the track Sunday?

yeah, his car was fast, if his backup is just as fast.... he'll have friends.

but, you know how long friends last at Daytona.
