ARCA needs to put this place on their schedule for next year. This is one of the nicest short tracks out there. I'm out here for the K&N Pro series race. This track is at least as nice as Mansfield. If they brought some extra stands in the could host a truck race here. Great place.

I think ARCA tried last year. The reason they were late getting a schedule out, I was told, was because they "tried to add a race somewhere in Georgia in March."

Really great place. Even the restrooms are air conditioned. The race was crap, a lot of it was due to stupidity from the series officials and the clean up crew. But anyway, ARCA really needs a race here.

Interesting. I'm assuming you saw a NASCAR East series race there? Never heard of it, but I'm always looking for nice tracks. As nice as Mansfield? I can't reiterate how nice of a place that is, despite the shortcomings of the whacky owner. Perhaps they could purchase the bleachers that have somehow disappeared from Mansfield since they last hosted the NASCAR Truck series?

I dunno man. ARCA in Georgia as a stand alone event? I don't think it would fly. Perhaps with a NASCAR Trucks double header.

It's brand new this year with that name. It's actually the old Peach State Speedway (Hooters Pro Cup used to always race there), they redid everything though, the grandstands are the nice metal ones like at Mansfield or most cup tracks. The other stands at Mansfield were always temporary, just brought in for the trucks. Went to some USAR races there and they didnt have them. It was an east series race. Should have been good too, but they did an awful job. There were some water barrels as a barrier at a track entrance/exit and a car hit it. They went to caution, red flagged it, ran more under caution, then realized they did a crap clean up job, then ran a bunch more under caution. They wasted at least 30 laps of a 150 lap race with this yellow/red period alone... The race was too short to begin with and i saw that 70 laps total were caution. Half the race.

Yeah, 150 laps on a half mile track sucks. Even 200 sucks. I'm talking professional racing of course, where laps under caution count. Oh well, I looked up the website, sounds nice. And I see you got to see more racing with some local street stocks and stuff on the card.

The worst length race i've seen was at Lee USA Speedway a couple of months ago with the K&N Pro Series. It was a 125 lap race on the 1/3 mile track. I don't recall exactly how much the tickets were, but i remember they seemed a bit high for the east series(especially one that short). That Lee race was great though, definitely worth it. The local races, they were okay. I'm never too thrilled about them because they dont have caution laps and often slow the show down too much(especially local dirt modifieds at a big llate model race). They started the east race at Gresham at 9pm, i'd rather have had no local stuff and start it at 8. Ticket prices were good though, 20 bucks.
