Gymkhana Three part 2, this is sick folks!

Very entertaining, kinda like a circus act. One big difference between this guy and Kyle Busch is that Kyle drives around moving obstacles. This sort of reminded me of the contest the hauler drivers have. They all are great at what they do, some just better. I wonder how many times this guy has practiced on this course.

On a side note, this car obviously is very powerful and is what the younger generation goes for. But those of us older folks might prefer that old car of SST's, that 396 Chevelle. And for those younger folk, what would you think if NASCAR had those same engines? Gentlemen, start your engines..... waaaaaaaaaa, waaaaaaaaaa, waaaaaaaaaaa!

That was F' ing sick, unreal 51degrees banking! Takes a lot of talent to drive like that , i don't care what you say!

That was flipping great. He needs to be invited to the burnout competition at the Allstar race weekend.

just a couple of notes and not to take anything away from the guy. The entire video is NOT a single run, but take and retake compiled together. When he makes the initial slide entry on the track, watch the wall ... he tags it. He also taps the Segway. And that's the best of many takes. All the marks on the ground are from multiple tries at getting each stunt right.

I'm with you prof, but I did enjoy the video and of course he has talent. How would Joey Chitwood do with these guys...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbuDRA4zNbw&feature=related But y'all are missing the point I was trying to make. They're racing at Z Max tract near the Charlotte Raceway this weekend. I wonder why none of the top cars don't go ... 3 2 1 waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa in less than 5 seconds?

F1 has tiny engines doing insane revs to produce the speeds they want. On a road course, that's vital. throttle response has to be instantaneous. On an oval, not so much. Could you build a 4 banger capable of running a 4000lbs car at WOT for 3 hrs? I suppose you could, but the cost would be more per race than the total some teams pay for engines in a whole season. Your throttle response off the line would always give you the edge, but you'd have nothing for overtaking once you're up to speed.

I'm driving a '85 full sized GM, with a 305. Acceleration from a standing start and accelerating up from 60mph ... almost no difference. I've no fear about overtaking a semi. With a WRX or something like that ... You'd have to drop down 2 gears and still give yourself a run up to let the motor wind up to it's powerband before you'd attempt it.
