Hamlin To Follow Blaney To Bill Davis Racing
Kevin Hamlin, who spent most of this season as crew chief for Nextel Cup Series driver Jeff Burton at Richard Childress Racing, has left to take the same position with Bill Davis Racing's No. 22 Dodges. Hamlin, crew chief for the late Dale Earnhardt and RCR driver Kevin Harvick, is expected to be teamed with driver Dave Blaney at BDR.
Although the Davis team has not formally announced the hiring of Blaney, he is entered as the driver scheduled to test with the No. 22 team this week at Kentucky Speedway. Earlier this month, RCR moved Hamlin to its No. 07 to work with Blaney, who has since left that team. Scott Miller took Hamlin's place on the No. 31 and will remain there in 2006.(That's Racin')
